We are looking to add a Service Writer/Parts Counter team member to our Gladstone (SE Portland) location. We represent the best selling welded aluminum boats in the Northwest, including Hewes Craft, North River, Stabicraft coupled with industry leading outboards by Honda and Yamaha. Clemens Marina is a family owned business with three locations in Oregon. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with outstanding customer service and great communication skills.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Marine parts and service sales
- POS operation (QuickBooks)
- Parts counter position requiring knowledge of marine engines and boating accessories
- Honda iN and Yamaha YMBS knowledge
- Computer skills required to look up, sell and re-stock Honda and Yamaha parts
- Service writer
- Meet and greet service customers
- Scheduling service repair appointments
- Ordering rigging parts and electronics for sold boats
- Overseeing rigging department and scheduling
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in marine parts & service desired
- 2 years parts and service environment (Auto, RV or Marine)
- Marine product knowledge
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Legible work order writing and accurate translation of customer service requests
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong communication skills
- Self-driven and eager to learn
- Team oriented
- Windows 7/10 Experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Oregon Boaters Card (not required but preferred)
- Stable work history
- 5 Day work week, Tues-Friday 9-5. Sat 9-4
- Closed Sunday/Monday

Pay Scale:
- Pay scale for this position ranges from $20 - $28 per hour depending on qualifications and passing of criminal background check and drug test
